We just completed the Therapy Dog Class with Betty! Betty is a wonderful instructor - she taught us new skills that will be extremely useful on visits and new techniques for handling challenges. Love her practical approach and her compassion! Highly recommend this class to anyone seeking to become a certified therapy dog team with their dog.

I just start off by saying I am a non-practicing veterinarian with no behavior experience. Canine PhD has been amazing at helping us deal with our rescue dog that is reactive and resource guards. Multiple friends recommended them and we couldn’t be happier. In addition to doing private lessons with Meredith with just completed the indoor reactive class and our boy Moose has made huge gains. We have also done board and train with Moose while on vacation and I have been so impressed. I have never boarded a pet before and they send photos and videoed every day which makes me so much more comfortable with being away from him. Thank you for all that you do, I cannot wait for the next class we will take!

My bc puppy (Summer) & I just finished the four week perfect puppy class with Betty and it was great! We also have done a few puppy social hours & they are really well managed and super helpful for socialization. We’ll be going back for good manners 101 & other classes going forward. I'd give six stars if I could. We've had a fantastic and successful experience with Meredith at Canine Phd. Last year we adopted a "shy" dog from the shelter and she turned out to have high anxiety and virtually no training. With patience and top notch training, Judy Jetson has become a happy, healthy dog with a family pack who adores her. We worked with CPhd through in home training sessions, then at the facility. Meredith's expertise and positive-only training approach was incredibly effective, helped us see what Judy is capable of, and gave us the tools to work through Judy's issues.

Judy Jetson had anxiety of leaving the house, getting in the car, being left at home, adults, children, other dogs, loud sounds, trucks, wheels, and workmen. She had no house training, leash training, or command training. With mood stabilizing meds, and extensive training, Judy can now leave the house, go on walks, get in and out of the car, meet and enjoy other dogs (and some people). She is sharing toys with our other dog, engaging in play and responding to command training and scent training.

I live in Pine Lake and am a neighbor to Meredith, owner of Canine PhD. She consistently responds when neighbors report that a dog has just been abandoned here or a feral cat needs assistance. Unfortunately, these calls are endless. Meredith rescues these poor souls, pays for all medical care, helps them to feel safer in this world, while giving them a safe Harbour at her facility until they get adopted.
I know of countless times that Meredith has answered the calls to take traumatized, hurt animals to emergency clinics at all hours of night. She then rehabilitates them at Canine PhD.
Meredith has the Biggest heart; she is an undercover Hero in Dekalb County.

I have been bringing a shelter dog named Jelly to Canine PhD for a couple sessions now and have already seen lots of improvements in a very short window of time! Jelly has struggled with some “stranger danger” issues since being surrendered to our shelter. Meredith and her team are wonderful and have been extremely helpful throughout the whole process. They provide excellent hands-on work with their training classes/private lessons, as well as send follow-up information to help with training at home! They have been so generous to us and we would not be where we are at without them! 5-stars is not enough for everything that they do. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else other than Canine PhD!

Tasi (Australian Shepherd, 4yrs) and I have been coming to the AGILITY CLASSES with Diane for at least 2 years. Tasi always looks forward to coming to Canine PhD. Diane is a great teacher who is patient, flexible, and loves dogs at all levels. Tasi and I have continued on with these classes as it develops a bond between us and gives him great exercise and training.

I've had two dogs take classes at Canine Ph.D. (Family Manners 101 with Casey and Hound on the Town with Bethany.)

Both classes were exemplary — my nervous-in-public dog is much more confident (and I am SO much more comfortable reading her signals and knowing what will work for her!) and my newbie is happily learning all the basics. Both instructors are warm, patient, kind, and highly skilled professionals! I'm signing up for another class as soon as this one is over. Highly, highly recommended.
