Lorrie is amazing. After the first day of training my 4 year old Australian Shepherd walked with a loose leash after years of pulling. Her training regime is a methodical and results oriented and aligns with the dog owner's goals and preferences. My dog clearly looked forward to see her and enjoyed the training. Highly recommend.

If your looking for a trainer, Lorrie is definitely the one you want . She’s very kind, understanding and patient with dogs and owners . She take the time to explain everything in detail to make sure everyone’s on the same page . Lorrie has been amazing in helping with my 3yr old gsd with her anxiety, and getting her into her thinking brain. I started seeing results right away .I wish I had met Lorrie sooner as I’d of taking all my dogs to her . I highly recommend Coaching Canine Companions. Thank you Lorrie.

Lorrie is an incredible, compassionate trainer. She connects with the dog at a level that I did not even know existed. It enables you and your dog to connect together, work together, enjoy together, instead of me overpowering him at all. All while getting the results we both need.

My dog is a rescue, 1.5 yrs, large Great Pyrenees mix. I had no idea he had so many behavioral issues when I adopted him. Having had trained my own dogs for 30 yrs. I considered myself an experienced dog person. Wrong! I had no idea how to handle what my pup was putting us both through. I knew if I had to return him he would likely never find a home or worse. By Gods grace I found Lorrie. I was desperate. She talked me off the cliff and helped me through my immediate issues. Her instruction was explicit and spot on. I did what she instructed (skeptically I must admit) and the results were immediate! I had hope for us!

We have continued training sessions with Lorrie and we have continued to improve slowly over time. My pup and I have a bond now that is strong and I’m sure with Lorrie’s methods will continue to grow. Keep an open, and positive mind and you will be so happy with the results you get and the things you learn working with Lorrie!

Coaching Canine Companions has been a very enlightening process while training my black Lab, Buddy, now 16 months old. My goal is to have an emotional support dog who will be with me nearly everywhere I go but first we must address his behavior as it pertains to barking, jumping, high energy, and paying attention. This training has helped me understand his needs and respond to them. Having a set routine has been ideal and as well as keeping a journal of his improvements.
This training is a kind and gentle way of inspiring a closer bond between owner and dog which will last a lifetime.

Lorrie who is Coaching Canine Companions is fantastic. Not only in the training she gave my dog Breezy in person. Which with the help of her dogs helped Breezy learn good manners and how to get along with other dogs. Lorrie also provided on line classes thru zoom, where i learned how to behave and to guide Breezy to be her best self. Learning techniques and talking thru issues and setting goals with Lorrie was great. The Zoom sessions really fit into my day (of full time work) and gave me much needed guidance. As dog owners - how we behave and guide our dogs really impacts them. We can not simply have others "fix" them, we need to learn how to avoid and prepare for doggie issues.
I can happily say that Lorrie has helped Breezy become a more relaxed and happy pet.

Amelia is our wonderful border collie/Australian Shepard mix pup. She is two years old and the most intelligent dog I have ever known. She was a confident, happy-go-lucky dog up until six months ago. We were walking at dusk when a lone coyote started chasing and stalking us for approximately 2 miles. Since that time, she has been full of anxiety and spends most of her days under the bed. She stopped going for walks, and it is a daily power struggle to get her to go outside to relieve herself. The vet was not quick to medicate her, but she progressively went downhill. By the 5th month (post-coyote), the vet decided to put her on Prozac and Trazadone. We spoke to several behaviorists and trainers and even hired a few. Nothing helped. Then, we found Lorrie. After meeting with Lorrie, we decided not to medicate Amelia. Instead, we decided to have Lorrie work with Amelia without the medications clouding her issues. It was important to us that Lorrie see exactly what Amelia was experiencing. The vet has since agreed Amelia is now thriving and is not in need of medications.

Lorrie is the calmest, most Zen-like person I know. Instantly, Amelia fell in love with her and her doodles. We purchased the package of 6 classes. By the 3rd class, Amelia was noticeably improving. Lorrie worked with my partner and me, as well as Amelia. Amelia is back walking 3 to 4 times a day, happily engaging with other dogs and people. I tell everyone I know about Lorrie. The transformation in Amelia is remarkable. Seeing Amelia happy and confident again is something I was not sure would ever happen. It is incredible how many people state they are dog behaviorists and dog trainers. Lorrie is the real deal. She has taken a deep dive into the science of dogs and what makes them tick. She is able to observe and decipher that the dog is experiencing. If ever there was a dog whisper, Lorrie is it.

Thank you, Lorrie!

Cannot say enough good things about Coaching Canine Companions. Lorrie is so wonderful with our pup and after just a couple of sessions we have seen noted progress! She is patient, kind, and has taken time to train not only our pup, but also to teach me to be a better dog mom. It is well worth the investment to send your dog for training - your entire family will benefit from it!
