I am a 64 yr old man with 23 years of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteo. Being in constant pain, it is hard to tell if something new is off. I had neck issues for many years, but this past year I saw my Dr due to new added pain and neuropathy. After getting my MRI read, I was immediately referred to Dr Devon Haydon, Neurosurgeon.
I was in more serious shape than I thought. C3-C7 were all damaged and cutting into my spinal cord.
The only option to repair this was a Level 4 Posterior Cervical Laminectomy.
Dr Haydon treated me with respect and compassion and made me feel more comfortable about the surgery.
My surgery was mid Dec. I can say that Dr Haydon is an amazing surgeon. Even the scar and sutures were beautifully done. A lot of my arm neuropathy has diminished.
But the best part is that I have been blessed to continue walking thanks to this surgeon.

From the moment I got on the elevator to when it was time to leave I felt like the only patient in the building. The undivided care and treatment was very much appreciated. This was my first time meeting Dr. Haydon and the entire staff. I came to the office nervous and skeptical of finding someone in Neuro that would listen and spend more than five minutes with me. That he did!! We went over images and reports. He asked about my history. I went into this appointment nervous and afraid I having to go through another brain surgery and cycle of dealing with tumors but left feeling confident that " I've got this and it is all manageable at this point " I left feeling at peace and calm. The entire staff made me feel welcomed and that is not something you find much anymore when walking through the doors of a medical office. My wish would be that all of my needs and medical appointments could be in THIS office...one could dream. Thank you.

So refreshing to have a Doctor actually explain his point of view and ask questions to know you and your situation better. He was very kind, intelligent and made me feel safe in his care. The doctor Is very kind as well as the staff. He was recommended to me by countless people and the practice is phenomenal. Dr. Haydon answered all questions thoroughly. He did not make me feel rushed, and he showed great empathy for my circumstances. The PA, Ben was as thorough and kind as well. They make a great team. I am a 35 year old physical therapist who needed acute back surgery in November 2023. I cannot express how grateful I am for the help I received from Dr Haydon and the surgical team. It is now almost 6 months since my back surgery, and the leg that was almost completely paralyzed is now strong enough for me to run. After surgery I had a 70 % reduction of numbness within the first day, and over the coming few months the strength and sensation gradually returned to my limb, and I am now almost completely recovered. On top of being an excellent neurosurgeon, Dr Haydon has a fantastic bedside manner and is a very kind person. I would trust him to care for myself and any of my loved ones if it was ever needed again. I cannot recommend him enough!

Dr. Haydon was tasked with informing me that I would need brain surgery, and in spite of the gravity of the situation, Dr Haydon handled the situation confidently and compassionately, which really helped in the moment. He took the time to explain the procedure and possible outcomes, and made himself available if I have future questions. I can’t say I’m “looking forward” to the surgery, but I do feel confident that Dr. Haydon is going to do an fantastic job. His entire staff has amazing, friendly, warm energy and I appreciate their ability to share a smile, a tissue (and a stress ball!) when it was needed.
